Thomas D Rogers, Sr
Ever look closely at the reverse side of the Sacajawea dollars? Just to the right off the eagle's tail you'll see the initials TDR. Those stand for Thomas D Rogers, Sr, the person who actually engraved the reverse for this coin. He was a U.S. Mint engraver who also has a couple state quarters to his credit. Cool!

He was at the 2009 ANA Money Show in Portland offering his latest creations, medals for the City of Portland, another for Oregon, and a third with vignettes depicting the 7 days of creation. He also brought along with him the plaster masters used to create the dies for the medals (see below).
