1919 French 1 Fr
NGC MS-67
(Though that hardly describes it!)

Offered here is an absolutely dazzling 1919 French 1 Franc. To begin with, this coin design is one of the most beautiful to be found on any coin. This example is encapsulated and graded MS67 by NGC, though that hardly describes it. Next, the truly sparkling luster creates an amazing cartwheel effect on both sides. Finally, the coin is naturally toned with an amazing palette of colors. Though the toning completely covers the surface of the coin, it causes virtually no dampening of the lustrous cartwheel effect. In fact, the cartwheel amplifies the coloring on the coin to where it almost appears to be luminescent. The hair of the semeuse (sower) seems to be moving in the breeze as the cartwheel passes through it.

There is no way to capture the depth of the beauty of this coin with mere pictures, but I tried to show the brilliance of the cartwheel with a series of pictures for both the obverse and reverse. Just a hint of the dazzling impact of the coin.

Be sure to examine the enlargements of each photo to see the perfection of the surface. As I said before, the MS67 grade hardly describes this coin. You'll search far and wide to find an equal. If you want the best of the best, this is for you.
